Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) has taken yet another step towards improving their online content by announcing an updated app for the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
The new features available are quite eye catching. The updated app includes album art, artist biographies, an improvement in audio quality, and performance on cellular networks. The app allows subscribers to the Sirius XM online feeds to listen to over 120 channels, while still being able to multi-task and surf the web or check email. The iPad app features a full screen display which shows what is currently playing, complete with album art for your favorite channels. Of course the app also gives you the ability to automatically purchase and download music from iTunes if you hear something that you like or tag them to buy later.
The Sirius XM Internet Radio App is available for download from the iTunes App Store. New users will have the ability to download the app and sign up for a 7 day free trial.
One of our stock forum members, sespool, shared this information with us last night and was kind enough to send us a short YouTube video of him using the updated iPad app. The features really do look amazing!
