Sirius XM Radio’s (NASDAQ:SIRI) Electric Area channel will be presenting broadcasts of performances by many of the most prominent DJs in dance music live from one of the year’s biggest electronic dance music events.
Electric Area will broadcast live from Randall’s Island New York City for the 3 day Electric Zoo Festival Friday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 4th from noon to midnight each day on Electric Area (Sirius and XM channel 52).
Sirius XM listeners will hear live DJ sets from artists including Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Ferry Corsten, Moby, BT, Benny Benassi, Martin Solveig, Robbie Rivera, Sander van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz, Carl Cox, Josh Wink, Umek, Gabriel & Dresden, Alesso, An21 & Max Vangeli, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Hardwell, Arty, Serge Devant, Dubfire, Michael Woods, EDX, Zack Roth, Matt Zo, Jaytech and 12th Planet.
Sirius XM listeners will also hear an exclusive set from superstar DJ and producer David Guetta recorded for Electric Zoo and Electric Area fans.
Additionally, Electric Area hosts will provide live updates from the four stages as well as backstage interviews with the performers between the DJ sets.
In anticipation of the Electric Zoo Festival, Sirius XM’s Electric Area channel launched Electric Zoo Radio, a weekly show featuring DJ sets from artists performing at this year’s Electric Zoo including DJs Joachim Garraud, Michael Woods, 12th Planet, Sander van Doorn, and newly reunited Gabriel & Dresden. Electric Zoo Radio can be heard Wednesdays at 6:00 pm ET through the festival coverage. Thursday’s edition of Electric Zoo Radio will feature a live set by Gareth Emery.
Electric Area plays electronic dance music, house, trance, electro, progressive, along with the biggest DJs in the world. Listeners will hear Tiesto, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Sander van Doorn, Avicii/Tim Berg, Above & Beyond, Eric Prydz, Swedish House Mafia, Wolfgang Gartner and Deadmau5.
