I love writing about this company. Perhaps because I am a fan of Shakespeare and he surely must have a hand in the plot of this company. I think he would have named this episode “Sirius Nights”. In true Shakespeare fashion the story keeps bending in ways to distort reality in order to make an example of human folly. The latest twist is an ongoing class action lawsuit that will ultimately pit the subscribers against the shareholders. The company appears to be using a class action settlement by subscribers as a defense in a shareholder lawsuit (Read more at Siriusbuzz). Meanwhile Howard Stern, the eccentric broadcaster who takes credit for raising the subscriber base to 20 million, is at war with CEO Mel Karmazin over additional bonuses he claims he is entitled to. The whole event spells KARMA!
In my first article I wrote the company stock would experience a bump up in price beginning October 2nd which has happened. I also mentioned that in mid-October there could be a change regarding legal disputes that would not bode well for the company.
Going forward from an astrology perspective heres what I see:
October 25th: There could be surprising news that is positive. The stock could get a good bump up again here.
October 29th: There could be erratic changes with the leadership regarding contracts and legal actions. The stock may have hit a brick wall here.
November 5th: Uranus will oppose Venus which in definition is “the divorce aspect”. Perhaps Wall Street investors want out of this relationship? The result will most likely be a correction that could carry into December.
December: Jupiter will inconjunct Mercury and Venus. An inconjunct is a 150* angle shaped like a boomerang. Two inconjuncts form what is called a “Yod” or finger of God. I will call this a boomerang of returning karma. There could be a severing of a tie or a dissolving of a contract agreement or business relationship.
March 2012: The company will most likely suffer a financial and legal setback.
Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) Weekly Chart
As I wrote in my first article the company is named after the fixed star Sirius. The star has a reputation for bringing glory, fame, money and success. Sirius comes from the Greek word seirios which means “scorcher”. The downside of this stars influence is the possibility of rising to fame and then getting scorched and burnt out by the success and fame.
We will just have to wait and see what happens.
Disclosure: No position in any company mentioned.
