Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) launches a new show on its Electric Area channel hosted by electronic music sensation Pretty Lights (real name Derek Vincent Smith). The new weekly show entitled The HOT Sh*t will showcase the newest sounds in electro organic beats, which embrace everything from blues, soul and disco to hip hop, dubstep and electro.
Electronic music isn’t all technoesque dance music and bowel inducing basslines…and now, with this show, there is a platform (on satellite radio) for the soulful and classy production that I allude to. Its music that pays homage to the past and embraces the future. It makes you feel, reflect, dream….and do the robot in your ride. It’s the HOT sh*t.
– Derek Vincent Smith (Pretty Lights)
