Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) launches a new Latin holiday music channel ‘Navidad’ to celebrate the Christmas holiday season. Sirius XM’s new ‘Navidad’ channel (Sirius and XM channel 501) went live to today and will run through January 6th, 2012.
Sirius XM’s ‘Navidad’ channel will offer Satellite Radio listeners contemporary Latin holiday music and traditional sounds, as well as tropical, regional and holiday pop with music from artists such as Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, José Feliciano, Aventura, Marco Antonio Solis and Christina Aguilera.
Latin stars Romeo Santos, Charlie Zaa, Thalía and Los Tigres Del Norte will guest-DJ and share with Sirius XM ‘Navidad’ listeners their family traditions, favorite holiday foods and heartfelt memories.
Some of the popular songs that audiences will hear include: “El Año Viejo”,“Llegó La Navidad”, “La Parranda”, “Rodolfo El Reno De La Nariz Roja”, “La Temporada es Buena”, “Feliz Navidad”, “Aires de Navidad”, “Navidad Sin Ti”, “No Hay Cama Pa’ Tanta Gente”, and “El Burrito Sabanero”.
Sirius XM’s new ‘Navidad’ channel is available on Sirius XM’s new Edge Satellite Radio 2.0 retail radio and via Sirius XM’s Internet radio platform on the Limited Engagements 3 channel (channel813).

Holiday Traditions (channel 147) will feature traditional holiday recordings from the ‘40s through the ‘60s (Holiday Traditions will also be available on Limited Engagements 2 on SiriusXM Internet Radio channel 812).
Holly (channel 17) will feature contemporary holiday music as well as traditional favorites.
Holiday Pops (channel 75) will feature classical Christmas carols and holiday favorites performed by the greatest classical musicians of all-time.
Country Christmas (channel 58) will feature a wide-ranging assortment of country Christmas music.
Holiday Soul (channel 49) will feature classic soul and Motown holiday music from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
The Sirius XM Radio Latino channel lineup features ten exclusive commercial-free music channels covering a wide variety of music genres, including Caliente (tropical, channel 150), Rumbón (classic salsa, channel 533), Flow Nación (Latin hip-hop and Reggaeton, channel 506), La Kueva (rock en español, channel 540), Viva (contemporary pop, channel 500), La Mezcla (top hits in English and Spanish, channel 503), Aguila (regional Mexican, channel 510), Caricia (classic ballads in English and Spanish, channel 523) and Luna (Latin jazz, channel 530) and more. The newly expanded Latin channel lineup also includes RadioFórmula México, channel 560 and CNN en Español on channel 148.
Subscribers can access these channels online through SiriusXM Internet Radio and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and mobile devices. The Latin suite of channels is also available via satellite through the new Sirius XM Edge radio.
