Ford (NYSE:F) Music Box for the European Market

Ford Music Box for the European Market

Perhaps a taste of things to come in the U.S., Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is offering an aftermarket (dealer option) for an add-on USB slot for the car radio.

Called the Music Box, the device is  available in Europe, and there’s no word yet if it will brought to the U.S. It brings a USB port to older radios that lack one.

It includes a USB socket that can be installed in the glove compartment or center console. Then drivers just plug in their USB device, such as a USB stick, phone or MP3 player.

Stored music can then be played through the aux-in jack on the car stereo. Songs, albums and folders can be selected through the steering wheel-mounted controls, while devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players and cameras will automatically recharge whenever they are connected.

It’s compatible with a wide range of Ford models.
