Sirius XM Radio’s (NASDAQ:SIRI) OutQ channel host and veteran Billboard Senior Editor Larry Flick rings in the new year with his annual live ‘Trippin’ The Disco Fantastic’ special beginning at 10:00 pm ET, playing wall-to-wall 70s dance music and taking calls from listeners.
New Year’s Eve also marks the debut of OutQ’s ‘Legends of Clubland’, a weekly Saturday night celebration of the greatest turntable artists in dance music history featuring sets from classic DJs from classic clubs. The original architects of iconic venues including Studio 54, The Saint, Rage, The Wherehouse, Sound Factory and Heaven step up to the decks once again, conjuring one-of-a-kind memories with recreations of the original sets they spun at these hallowed halls. Legends of Clubland premieres on January 1st with DJs Dave DiPino and Joey Llanos’ sets from Paradise Garage airing from 1:00 – 7:00 am ET.
Beginning January 7th, Legends of Clubland will air Saturdays from 11:00 pm – 7:00 am ET. Future installments will feature Studio 54 legend Nicky Siano—host of ‘Under the DJ Booth’ on SiriusXM’s Studio 54 channel—and Manny Lehman, the defining DJ of Rage and many “Saint at Large” tribute events.
