Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) announced today that Krishna Das, the best-selling American chant artist of all time, will have his very own Satellite Radio channel — ‘Krishna Das Yoga Radio’.
Sirius XM will launch this new exclusive channel with an exclusive special which will showcase music from Krishna Das’ new album Live Ananda, featuring his classic chants recorded live. Throughout the day on Thursday, March 1st, beginning at 10:00 am ET, Sirius XM Radio listeners will hear Krishna Das share stories and offer a first-hand illustration for the chants on the album.

Krishna Das Yoga Radio, scheduled to launch on Thursday, March 1st, will feature music from eastern and western spiritual traditions and a diverse range of legendary and present-day artists, including: Krishna Das, Ali Akbar Khan, Choying Drolma, Deva Premal, Jai Uttal, Lama Gyurme, Sultan Khan and Wah!, Shantala, Pandit Jasraj, and many more.
Sirius XM Subscribers will have access to ‘Krishna Das Yoga Radio’ online through SiriusXM Internet Radio, through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and mobile devices, and via satellite on the new SiriusXM Lynx and SiriusXM Edge retail radios.
Krishna Das, who has been identified as the “Chant Master of American Yoga” by The New York Times, is the best-selling chant artist of all time, with over 300,000 records sold. Krishna Das, known as KD, co-founded Triloka Records, a California-based label specializing in world music, releasing such artists as Jai Uttal, sarod virtuoso Ali Akbar Khan and legendary jazz musician/composer Jackie McLean.
