Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) will broadcast extensive coverage of New York Comic Con 2012, including celebrity interviews, exclusive panels hosted by Sirius XM hosts and fan reactions from the floor, inviting listeners and fans nationwide inside the biggest comics and pop culture convention on the East Coast.
Sirius XM’s Comic Con coverage kicked off on Thursday, October 11th with a special edition of Rotten Tomatoes Radio live from New York Comic Con’s Preview Night, and continues throughout the weekend on SiriusXM Stars Too (SiriusXM channel 104). Tune in Friday, October 12th from 12:00 pm – Saturday, October 13th at 1:00 am ET; Saturday, October 13th from 8:00 am – Sunday, October 14th at 1:00 am ET, and Sunday, October 14th at 9:00 am – Monday, October 15th at 2:00 am ET to hear news, interviews and all the latest buzz from the worlds of comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies and television.
Programming highlights include:
– Rotten Tomatoes’ Editor-in-Chief Matt Atchity and Senior Editor Grae Drake kicked off SiriusXM’s in-depth coverage co-hosting a special edition of Rotten Tomatoes Radio — the twice-weekly show from the web’s most popular movie review destination — on Thursday, October 11th live from New York Comic Con, with an encore presentation airing October 13th at 8:00 am ET. In addition, Atchity and Drake will interview directors, actors and industry insiders that will air throughout the weekend.
– SiriusXM’s Steve Covino and Rich Davis host their daily Covino & Rich show live from the convention floor on Friday, October 12th from 12:00 – 3:00 pm ET, talking to celebrity guests and colorful characters.
– SiriusXM on-air personalities Kim Alexander, Paul Bachmann and Sam Roberts will be on-site all weekend, broadcasting interviews with movie stars, zombies, fans and many others.
– Special “Dark Horse Radio” show to be broadcast from the Dark Horse Comics booth from the floor of New York Comic Con.
