General Motors (NYSE:GM) announced its budget-priced Chevy Spark will offer TuneIn Radio Internet Radio next year and Livio will provide the software or “middleware” connection to the service.
TuneIn is an up and coming app that provides access to more than 70,000 radio stations around the world without service fees. It has 40 million active users, largely in the United States. Pandora (NYSE:P), by contrast, has over 56 million active users.
Livio is not only an Internet Radio service and radio equipment supplier, but it also provides a middleware platform for apps for OEM use by the auto makers.

Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) launched Tuesday an On Demand radio service that lets you call up Sirius XM shows at will for users of Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch devices and eventually users of Android devices.
If you download the SiriusXM media player on these gadgets and you are a SiriusXM Internet subscriber, you get free access to over 200 shows, representing over 2,000 hours of programming.
Additionally, the satellite radio company confirmed it is on track to release a Pandora-like personalized radio service to create your own SiriusXM music channels this year. Read More
