Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) will offer its satellite radio and Internet radio listeners nationwide live coverage of the 2013 Preakness Stakes from the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland, this Saturday, May 18th, as Kentucky Derby-winner Orb and jockey Joel Rosario will attempt to take another step in their bid for the 12th Triple Crown in thoroughbred racing history.
Sirius XM Radio listeners will hear Horse Racing Radio Network’s broadcast starting at 5:00 pm ET on Sirius Radio channel 93 and XM Radio channel 209, and on channel 961 online at SiriusXM.com and on the SiriusXM Internet Radio app for smartphones and other connected mobile devices. The race broadcast will also air live on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Radio (Sirius and XM channel 86).
In addition to the live race broadcast, Sirius XM Radio’s Dave Johnson and Bill Finley will host a special edition of Down The Stretch on Saturday (10:00 am – 1:00 pm ET). Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) will broadcast the live English translation of Pope Francis’ Inauguration Mass, which will be celebrated tomorrow, March 19th, at 4:00 am ET at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City.
Catholic Channel host Father Dave Dwyer, CSP will be on site to provide live commentary for Sirius XM listeners during the mass. Afterwards, Lino Rulli and Father Rob Keighron, hosts of The Catholic Channel’s The Catholic Guy, will host a special post-mass show from 5:30 am to 7:00 am ET to recap the event. Read More
